meet buns.

Two weeks ago, we our house decided that a pet wasn't a bad idea so Lexi and I drove to east-Jesus-nowhere (aka, Walker County, Alabama) to pick up this big guy:

meet Walker Hefner Martin
(Buns)
So Lexi and I drove in hopes of finding the sign that said "Rabbits $10"... we drove and drove and drove until I saw it and almost wrecked the car to read the number.  After initially not answering his phone, Mr. Jamie called us back and told us about the fat brown rabbit he would sell us.  When we asked Mr. Jamie where he lived, he replied: "The third trailer on the left behind William's Furniture".

What. The. Heck.  Two hours later, we had a bunny!

not a joke, people...
seriously the nicest man in the world though
Walker is adjusting nicely and he is a great low-maintenance pet!

roll tide wreath

Roll Tide, friends!

It's a great day to be a Bama fan, and an Auburn supporter (notice I'm not a "fan" but I love Auburn and all of my friends/family who root for the Tigers)!  Bama just beat Penn State, Auburn had a very exciting game against MSU and I just watched UGA score to pull ahead against USC, 35-31.  As much as I hate UGA, I love that the underdog is hanging in there.

Mark, coach like your job depends on it.

Our Hobby Lobby in T-Town is no more (RIP) so last weekend I dragged Michael to his in Auburn and got all the cute supplies to make my Roll Tide Wreath!

Explaining how I made this would just be an insult to your intelligence, but all it took was some ribbon and a bare wreath (mine is plastic).  The ribbon was on sale for $1 per spool and the wreath was super cheap-o so I made this for about $9 total!  Wahoo!  Love a good deal.

Well, whatdayaknow- South Carolina just made the score 45-35.  Roll Tide?

negligent

Alright, people.  Here's what's going on in my life:

School:

I'm taking 16 hours, 3 literature classes, 3 education classes.  All require 3ish hours a night of reading.  That's it.  No papers (for now...), no nothing.  Just reading.  Reading is fine (I do want to be a literature teacher...) but I don't have anything tangible to show for my hours upon hours of work and that frustrates me.

Work:

Work is great... not super busy but I'm being really productive.  I still need curtains and decorations for my office so stay tuned for that...

Social Life:

Funny.  Actually, I did make an impromptu trip to visit a very annoyed Michael in Auburn this weekend, following their barely-win over Utah State.  I left our game before halftime because, let's face it, it was kind of a blow out....

Roll Tide!
In the mean time, I have been destressing myself by baking!  I have made 3 cookie cakes in the past week which doesn't count as baking but it does count as delicious!  Also I made chocolate chip cookie covered oreos.  Yeah, it's for real. They were pretty average but I messed up the recipe so I have absolute faith that they will turn out amazing next time!  I am making cupcakes for Thursday and cake pops for Saturday so I'll keep you updated!

yummo!
I'm working on several crafty things right now, too, so I'll post pictures soon!

i didn't take any of these pictures because i'm getting lazy...
